Seniors

I was sitting in my room video taping myself giving my Sunday School Lesson… (I know I KNOW… What, why were you videotaping yourself giving your Sunday School Lesson? Well I’ll tell you what… That lesson when I sat down and pressed play and had the kids watch me give the lesson on the TV and pause at appropriate moments for comments… It was the quietest but also the most interactive lesson we had all year. So no Judgey, Judgey)  Anyways… I was sitting in my room and I got a call. It was the mom of this gorgeous girl below!

We talked for a bit about her daughter and how insanely beautiful she is and her love for all things clothes and makeup! Needless to say I was stoked! Sherry asked me if I sold Gift Certificates for Photo Shoots because that was the Only thing her daughter wanted for Christmas. I was so happy that I do.

So a couple weeks into the new year I got a Text from this Beauty and we set the date for our shoot! This young lady was so fun to chit chat with! She sent me tons of photos of outfits she was contemplating (I love it when my seniors send me photos prior to the shoot of the outfits so that I can give my best advise). She wasn’t afraid to ask questions on things that she wasn’t sure of and because of this I knew come the day of the shoot we were going to be ready to start shooting right off the bat.

I have never been as excited about a photo, in camera, as I was about this sweet girls Fur Coat Close Up! She was so STUNNING! I truly was having my mind blown with every photo!

Thanks for a fantastic time!

Senior “Role Model”
What is MelB Photography’s Senior Role Model Program? Well my dear friends… That is a fantastic question! Mother Teresa Once said | The Good you do today, people will often Forget. DO GOOD ANYWAY | This Motto  is something I try to live by. We all know that doing good things for others is the right thing. But how many of us feel frustrated when we are not recognized for the good we strive so hard to do. I know I am guilty of this myself. As humans it is in our nature to want some form of recognition for the good things we do. When that recognition is not given, we struggle to find the motivation to continue doing good things. So I want t ...

There Once was a Young Maiden
Cache Valley Photographer | Senior Photographer I had recently finished the PBS Series Poldark and Downton Abbey and was feeling nostalgic for some 18th-19th Century Beauty! So I set to work creating a shoot that would put together my love for Senior Photography and my love for Regency Period Beauty! I enlisted the help of a true hair and makeup Genius, Tiffany Johnson owner of  Tiffany Johnson Beauty! She has the sweetest personality and is always such a joy to be around! She is also incredibly talented as a Hair and Makeup Artist! She brought my vision to life! We kept the makeup simple to be true to the time. She also did a stunning ...

Freckle Farm Senior Portraits
Freckle Farm Senior Portraits || MelB Photography || Senior Photographer || I was in Heaven during this Freckle Farm Senior Portrait Session. Averie and I had been in contact for quite a few weeks before her shoot so we had plenty of time to find a location that was perfect for what she was wanting. We knew that we wanted there to be some color in the photos... and since there was not much color besides Brown going on outside we decided to take the shoot indoors to Freckle Farm!  They have the most beautiful shop that we took full advantage of. Averie told me that she was wanting a floral crown to go with her white lace dress and Conner ...
