Seniors

I was sitting in my room video taping myself giving my Sunday School Lesson… (I know I KNOW… What, why were you videotaping yourself giving your Sunday School Lesson? Well I’ll tell you what… That lesson when I sat down and pressed play and had the kids watch me give the lesson on the TV and pause at appropriate moments for comments… It was the quietest but also the most interactive lesson we had all year. So no Judgey, Judgey)  Anyways… I was sitting in my room and I got a call. It was the mom of this gorgeous girl below!

We talked for a bit about her daughter and how insanely beautiful she is and her love for all things clothes and makeup! Needless to say I was stoked! Sherry asked me if I sold Gift Certificates for Photo Shoots because that was the Only thing her daughter wanted for Christmas. I was so happy that I do.

So a couple weeks into the new year I got a Text from this Beauty and we set the date for our shoot! This young lady was so fun to chit chat with! She sent me tons of photos of outfits she was contemplating (I love it when my seniors send me photos prior to the shoot of the outfits so that I can give my best advise). She wasn’t afraid to ask questions on things that she wasn’t sure of and because of this I knew come the day of the shoot we were going to be ready to start shooting right off the bat.

I have never been as excited about a photo, in camera, as I was about this sweet girls Fur Coat Close Up! She was so STUNNING! I truly was having my mind blown with every photo!

Thanks for a fantastic time!

Logan Utah Senior Photography | MelB Photography | Molly Clare I first talked to Molly a few months back and we planned our shoot out a few months. To hopefully have a reprieve from the snow. Lady Luck was not necessarily on our side considering we have had more snow this year than in any other year I can remember since I moved to Utah. For this reason we chose to shoot in Downtown Logan so that we could avoid the cold as much as possible. Molly love the artsy feel of Downtown Logan and is a very talented artist herself. When I first took a glance at her Facebook page the two things that stood out to me was that she surely had a talent ...

Props or No Props | That is the Question?!?
Props or No Props | That is the Question?!? -Props or No Props | Logan Utah Photographer | MelB Photography- In a previous post I gave a brief opinion about Props. I thought I would dig a little more into this topic... When I first started MelB Photography I believed Props was where it was at! I went out right away and spent a mini fortune on all these adorable props! I would buy all these shabby items and turn them into adorable masterpieces! During my first year of business it was likely that if you drove by my home you would most likely see me out spray painting something. If not that there was certainly many multi colored props ...

Why Professional Hair and Makeup are Necessary for the Best Portraits
| Why Professional Hair and Makeup are Necessary for the Best Portraits |  Practicing what I preach... As a photographer I have come to understand and appreciate the importance of hair and make up in receiving the best results for your photographs. This is true with all types of photographs. Bridals, your wedding day, family portraits, head-shots, and what I want to focus on today is senior portraits! Until I became a photographer I had never had my hair and make up professionally done. And boy was I missing out! I have never felt more beautiful than the first time I looked in the mirror after the talented Jessica Nelson at Jessica nelso ...
